James A. Boozan, MD
Dr. James Boozan is a Board Certified Otolaryngologist, who has been in practice in New Jersey since 1994, having graduated from Ohio State University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology at the New York University Medical Center and attended University of Michigan, where he completed a fellowship in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck surgery. Dr. Boozan holds membership in the American Academy of Otolaryngology, and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Boozan is committed to providing only the highest quality patient care. He approaches his patients with warmth and attentiveness, with the goal to teach and educate at every opportunity.
CathyJo Schroeder, RN, MSN, APN-C
Mrs. Schroeder has been a life long resident of Hamilton, NJ. She started her nursing career at Mercer County Community College, obtaining her Associates of Nursing as a Registered Nurse and completing her Bachelors of Nursing at Stockton State College. While employed in the ICU and Trauma/ER at Hahnemann University Hospital, she completed her Masters of Science in Nursing with the focus as a Family Nurse Practitioner at MCP-Hahnemann Univeristy (no Drexel). She graduated with honors at Sigma Theta Tau. She is currently a doctoral student candidate (2017) at Capella University. She brings with her more than 20 years combined nursing experience including caring for head and neck cancer patients in the ICU while at Hahnemann.
Mrs. Schroeders’ nursing and care philosophy is that patients deserve excellence in care. They deserve to be educated about their illness/disease process so as to be empowered to be able to live healthy and to manage their disease to the best of their ability.
Yasmin Battat, AuD
Dr. Battat earned her BA in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Hofstra University. She went on to complete her MA in Audiology at Hofstra University, and then her Doctorate of Audiology from Salus University. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and has her Clinical Competency Certificate (CCC) from ASHA. She is a fully licensed audiologist in both New York and New Jersey and is experienced working with adult, pediatric, and multiply handicapped populations.
Dr. Battat believes in providing high quality audiology services and products to achieve effective communication. Her goals involve increasing awareness of available options and strategies through patient, family, and community education. She is also an advocate of hearing conservation through patient education and products for hearing protection.
Because hearing shapes and influences every part of our daily life, she believes improved hearing as one benefit above all others: an enhanced quality of life. Better hearing means better communication with our partners, family, friends, and co-workers. Hearing connects us to meaningful relationships that shape our goals and outlook on our lives. Better hearing also allows us to experience life with less stress, and improves concentration, relaxation, and memory.
Brenda Dorais, MA
Brenda Dorais received her Bachelor of Arts at Douglass College of Rutgers University and went on to obtain a Masters Degree in Audiology and Speech Pathology from Hahnemann University. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology and Speech Pathology and has been a practicing audiologist for more than 33 years.
Cara Emerson has provided over 20 years of extensive patient care experience in the medical industry and has been with Dr. Boozan for the past 17 years. She is committed in quality patient care and will greet you with kindness, compassion, and humor. She will go the extra mile to make sure your questions and concerns are addressed.
